Ars Nova's love of combining old and new here fully unfolds. Music by Hernando Franco, Manuel de Sumaya, Alonso Lobo, John Cage, Christian Wolff & Arvo Pärt.

Exquisite motets from the time around the year 1600 and exciting pieces from around the year 2000 illuminate each other. Pieces from the old world (Europe) opposite pieces from the new (South and North America). And a third impact point around the year 1800, where the composers in the USA began to step into character with pieces that stood out from the Western European music culture that they originated from.
