Ben McKee
Ben McKee was born in Cambridge in 1989 and started his musical training as a chorister at King’s College Chapel. After gaining a music scholarship to The King’s School, Canterbury, he went on to do a music degree at Manchester University.
Ben now enjoys an active career as a Freelance Bass, singing in his weekly post at St Paul’s Knightsbridge and performing across the UK and internationally with groups including Tenebrae, Siglo de Oro, Fieri, Reverie, Philharmonia Voices, Arianna Ensemble and Ex Cathedra, performing across the UK and internationally.
Ben has also held several choral conducting posts, as Assistant Director of the Hallé Youth Choir and Director of the Hallé Youth Training Choir, and in addition to singing is an internationally published photographer, specialising in portraits and artwork photography.
