Mari Øyrehagen
Mari Øyrehagen is a Norwegian soprano currently residing in Copenhagen, Denmark.
At age 19 she started a bachelor degree in classical singing at the Norwegian Academy of Music. She spent two years there, before going to Stuttgart, Germany, where she finished her degree at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in 2015.
During this time she studied with the Norwegian soprano Turid Karlsen, and was able to be taught and inspired by Alessandro de Marchi, Emma Kirkby and Margreet Honig among others.
During the last years, Mari has performed as a soloist in works such as Stabat Mater by Pergolesi, Leçon de Ténèbres by Couperin, Mass in Eb by Schubert, and several Bach Cantatas. She has regularly performed as an ensemble singer with The Norwegian Soloists’ Choir.
In Decemeber 2020 Mari finished her master's degree in classical singing at the Royal Danish Academy of Music, where she studied under Susanna Eken and Helene Gjerris. Her studies in Copenhagen have given her plenty of interesting and challenging opportunities, such as performing as a soloist with the internationally renowned baroque orchestra Concerto Copenhagen, led by Lars Ulrik Mortensen in April 2019.
Since January 1st 2021 Mari is a member of Vor Frue Kantori, the professional vocal ensemble in Copenhagen Cathedral (Vor Frue Kirke) where she regularly sings in the many services that are transmitted live on television and radio.
