Mats Lillhannus
Tenor

2017
Tenor Mats Lillhannus began his professional musical career as a jazz trumpet player, but over the years, his focus has shifted decisively towards singing. Being an ensemble musician at heart, Mats has founded several vocal ensembles and performed in many more, both in his native Finland and elsewhere in Europe and the Nordic countries. As a soloist, Mats especially enjoys performing oratorios and cantatas of the baroque era, but his active repertoire stretches from mediaeval music to contemporary works. Mats graduated from the Advanced Vocal Ensemble Studies-programme at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis in 2010 and has also studied with teachers such as Veikko Kiiver, Stockholm, and Evelyn Tubb, Basel.
