Per Nørgård: Mythic Morning
Works for Choir II
The choral works of Per Nørgård (b. 1932) form a constant strand through the composer's oevre and demonstrate the full spectrum of his art: From Nordic sounds, echoing Sibelius and Holmboe, to avant-garde and post-modernism – always coloured by his preocupation with the organic, the multilayered, and the drama of interference. This SACD is an encounter with the sound of Nørgård's most recent choral music as well as the already classic Wie ein Kind on new terms with Scandinavia's leading vocal ensemble.
