The world premiere of Thor's Hammer by our composer in residence, Askell Masson. The 12th-century Icelandic poem recounts a story from the Eddas about how Thor´s hammer was stolen by Thrymur. The concert also features the European premiere of Notker by Pablo Ortiz drawing on autobiographical anecdotes by the 9th century monk Notker Balbulus.
